Why We Built This Site
Kentucky does not place every part of a criminal history in one public database. The Metcalfe Circuit Court Clerk holds District and Circuit case files. The sheriff and Edmonton police retain the reports their officers create, while a receiving jail creates the booking record. Kentucky State Police maintains the restricted statewide repository and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. The Kentucky Department of Corrections operates KOOL for people within its corrections or supervision coverage. This site brings those distinct routes together without treating any one system as a complete record.
What You Will Find Here
- Local record routes: how to find and read Metcalfe County court case records
- Official checks: the difference between Kentucky court reports and identity-based Kentucky State Police or FBI records
- Office details: verified contacts for the sheriff, police, court clerk, corrections system, and state registry
- Personal record relief: the Kentucky expungement certification and filing path through the court that handled the case
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Kentucky court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Its role is limited:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that a published phone number, fee, address, or procedure has not changed
Only the office that maintains a record, such as the sheriff, court clerk, or Kentucky State Police, can issue or certify it.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by outside providers. Those providers control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports site operations. We do not control the provider's data, matching methods, charges, or coverage.
